How They Wore It vol. 9

It’s beginning to look a lot like…

Whether you’re quarantining in the Great White North, exploring the beaches of remote islands, trekking through a busy concrete jungle path or, simply, choosing to sit the rest of the year out, basking in your own creativity, dreams and goals, one thing is for certain: the holidays are upon us and we are still in this together.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: it all lays in our own perseverance - our determination, our strength, our hopes for the future. And wow, do we have an inspiring group of people supporting our brand. From spiritual guides to prominent DJs, working moms and female entrepreneurs, people shattering glass ceilings and turning their backs to societal norms - we see you, we hear you, we’re so inspired by you!

Feast your eyes on our newest “How They Wore It” installment, featuring a group of talented people, some of whom play a direct role in our growth on a daily basis.

CARL

Carl Craig is a creative visionary, an electronic music icon, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit. Yet the common thread that runs through Craig’s broad musical canon and creative projects is a resounding fascination with futurism. The prolific producer has cultivated a unique path as an artist, entrepreneur and civic leader, guided by his tendency toward forward thinking.

Carl launched his career back in 1989 by releasing his first track on a Virgin UK compilation album and the rest -  as they say - is history.

Since then he’s been a pioneer in his field and has brought plenty of attention to his music style and the abundance of talent that comes out of his native Detroit. He chalks it all up to hard work, talent, determination and never giving up.

“My livelihood is making music that I can perform, whether I’m doing orchestral production or modular strangeness or generating club music. I don’t restrict myself,” said Craig. “I defined myself by being who I am. The ultimate self respect is when you say you’re going to do something and you go and do it to the best of your ability.”
